“DC-based members of the offbeat feminist humor site, The Toast, are holding a bake sale from 10 am until 1 pm on Saturday, June 24 at Brookland’s Monroe Street Farmers Market located at 716 Monroe Street NE (right behind the Brookland Metro Station). All funds raised at the sale will benefit DC Books to Prisons. This is the third sale to be held by DC toasties. The first two sales, held in late 2016, raised enough money to cover two weeks worth of book shipping costs, the organization’s main expense. (more…)

I live on 5th and O Street NW. This box is constantly left open and I regularly see nonuniformed individuals working on the wiring. Does it have something to do with telephone lines? Should it just be open to anyone walking by? Do I call 311?”
