Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 2 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

Adoptville

Ed. Note: Thanks to Kristen for (re)launching the AdoPtville weekly adoptable animal fix.

Crystal

“Crystal is full of love! She was rescued from the dog meat trade in Thailand. This goofy girl is friendly and aims to please. She is smart and has already learned ;sit, stay, place and heel. She loves to play fetch and enjoys her toys too. She would make a great running companion and also loves to relax at home with her people. This bright girl will do well with someone who has experience as the pack leader. We want to set all our dogs up for success — with Crystal, we can offer a foster-to-adopt trial period with insight from our trainer who has worked extensively with her. We will be there for you every step of the way should you have questions. Crystal is house trained and crate trained. She needs someone to enforce what she’s learned with crate training during a transition. She is not good with cats. Please contact Rural Dog Rescue at [email protected] if you are interested in adopting Crystal.”

Kermit1

“This is Kermit, he’s up for adoption at the Humane Rescue Alliance. We fostered him in Park View and he’s awesome. His profile is here.

UPDATE: He was adopted!”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
