“The Powell Spring Carnival online silent auction is now live and will be available for bidding through 9:00 pm on May 18. The website is www.biddingforgood.com/powellspringcarnival. Please visit and see the wide array of items donated for auction, including tickets DISNEY WORLD and to local sporting events and theater, venues for kids’ birthday parties, a special event with NPR host and Powell alum Diane Rehm, and dozens of gift cards to area restaurants and businesses (with minimum bids starting at well below the face value). There are some GREAT bargains to be had, so get bidding!!!! Also, every dollar you spend will ultimately be used to support the students and teachers at Powell. Bid early and often!”

“The Marie Reed PTA Online Spring Auction is live! The auction will continue through 11 pm on May 10.

You will need to register as a bidder with the site (with name, email, and address), and then you can bid on any of our items, including gift certificates from Meze, Los Cuates, the Wydown, Tryst, and Pleasant Pops; yoga class passes from Tranquil Space and Tots and Tykes; tickets to see the Mystics in the Verizon Center Players’ Club; and many items provided by Marie Reed parents. Need a patent consultation, a piano lesson, a dog birthday party, or a personal training session? We have you covered.

All winning bidders must arrange for pickup of item in Adams Morgan. Some gift certificates can be mailed/emailed.

Our auction proceeds go to our unrestricted fund to cover extra funding for teachers for classroom projects and field trips.”
