  • The second bedroom / office has no window, so this is essentially a 1+den for $1.25 million. While the terrace is amazing, I would never pay over $1 million for a 1 bedroom.

  • Wow, that’s a huge price for a 2-bedroom, but the terrace is pretty awesome. This is the Whitman which is currently flanked by the big Marriott construction on the back side. This unit is on the front but there is supposed to be a project of micro-apartments across the street at some point in the near future. About a block from the Mt. Vernon metro and walkable to a lot of stuff. They have 24-hour concierge/security and a decent gym / party room, too.

    • The micro-unit project across the street will be all of 3-4 stories tall – it won’t impact the terrace views at all (though it may present some noise issues perhaps).

  • Does the Japanese toilet seat convey? It’s hard to tell how private the terrace is. Agreed that the asking price seems like a lot, especially given that the second “bedroom” appears to be a den.

  • That outdoor space is amazing! Is it really a 1br+den, not a 2br… no window in that 2nd br? Looks like it only has windows down the patio end of the unit.

    Didn’t years ago this building have an anonymous, gossipy website about the residents? Did I dream this?

    • Yep, there sure was – I used to live in fear I’d be called out on there for breaking a rule or defying the HOA in some way, lol. It’s really a great building – I’ve been an owner for 10 years (since the beginning) and have had no issues.

  • That terrace seems too big for me. Would be great for a corporate sort of space, for someone who held events out there all the time – though I don’t imagine that’s what the neighbors in the building want – you’d want a separate entrance and elevator for that, and hefty payments to the condo. Seems an odd choice to give so much outdoor space to one unit, rather than have a communal deck up there as well, or smaller decks belonging to various units in the building.
