“plus a full finished basement” — That sounds like a stretch to me; only part of the basement appears to be finished.

I saw that this house was for sale by owner, some time last summer. I called, and she told me the whole house had be redone, new windows, bathrooms, kitchen, etc. She didn’t seem that interested in us taking a look, but the original price? $1.3M. Saw that it was still for sale, now by a realtor, and looked it up again…the assessed value is $837. I’m very curious to see the final sale price.

      damnit, had been redone.

The assessed value does not necessarily equal the actual market value.

true, but looking at the photos once it was posted online, coupled with what appear to be really cheap windows, do not give it the appearance of a close to million dollar house.

That was my general sense too… but I don’t have a good idea of what houses in the Eastern Market area are going for these days.

Even worse than being cheap windows, those windows with the X’s in them really detract from the original look of the house.

How does one measure the friendliness of a park? Is there a ranking somewhere?

  • Srsly?

Um no, not for that price.

  • AMDCer

I just had to laugh at the little patch of brick in the backyard – why?

  • Margot

A million dollars for that bowling alley, no backyard, no escaping the neighbors close and cozy inner city feel…opps -dare I mention that hideous paneling, just because or how about that laundry room with the ceiling ambience?!

This is an awesome location. And it is a very friendly park. But how did they get all of my Grandma’s furniture? right down to the plastic lily on top of the toilet tank, that is grandma all the way!
