that’s probably fair. its tastefully done (the wood flooring looks, or at least photographs, beautifully) big kitchen, parking. downside is that you can’t do much with the attic and the basement isn’t dug out, which is what you’d hope for at this price point.

A dug-out basement here would put this far into the “go f*ck yourself” pricing range. I believe the owner would also be able to create an accessory apartment above the garage (though perhaps they’d lose the garage proper). I want this house. :-(

    Beautiful renovation. “Small” house!

  • slly

The house across the street, which is in such bad condition it is literally falling down, but which is identical in size to this house and also has a two-car separate garage, sold for $1.13M a few months ago, so I think this house will go for well above asking price. I’m guessing $1.45M.

It’s gorgeous, and they managed to make the best of what is sometimes an odd layout with late-19th C farmhouses.

  • jt

    Um….a friggin’ driveway?! Woah.

  • Anon

Lovely house. This will go above asking.

Like those hardwoods, hate the foyer tile.

    • AnonV2

Yeah, it’s weird assuming that the reclaimed wood is not original to the house. It could be that the owners found some matching boards that they were in love with, but not enough board feet to finish the entire floor. The tile may have been a compromise. It also would have looked much better laid on the diagonal in contrast to the plank direction.

      • anon

Disagreed that it would look better laid diagonally.

    • Idontgetit

Lol my downstairs has original floors similar to what is shown here. It also has the same unfortunate foyer tile.

This house has nearly caused multiple fights with my spouse in the past two days. Leave me alone, house we can’t afford.

  • lizcolleena

Is that a blendor nook? Yes, please and thank you!
I could never afford this but it’s beautiful. There are a couple oddities – unfinished attic and basement at this price point? Also the shower in the antique tub looks a little flimsy. Hard to say, but surprising there’s not something a little fancier.

  • Huma

Wonder if I can persuade husband to sell our collective kidneys to buy this house.
