Looks like a lovely unit, but whether it’s a good deal will depend on how soundproof the windows are. Not only are the Metro tracks right next door, that same stretch has a lot of freight trains. I used to live on Holly Ave in TP, across the street from the Metro parking lot, and our house would sometimes shake with the trains. Would expect it to be worse that close.

How often does the train go by?

So often you don’t even notice it.

I live near this unit. This is a good deal.

Wasn’t this building or a unit in it featured here before? It seems awfully familiar.

Price seems ok I suppose maybe a tiny bit high given someone with a good arm standing in front could throw something on those tracks.

I was wondering that too, but I actually think it might be the yellow one next door that was on the market last year.

Other units from this building have been featured as GDoNs. I don’t think there are any residential spaces in the yellow building to the left.

That fee seems awfully high for a building with no common amenities, no common outdoor space, and no utilities (besides water & trash) included. Listed as condo (not coop) on both MRIS & Redfin…am I missing something?

I’d say good deal, although I don’t really know the neighborhood. But I do love the use of color on the walls — such a cheerful departure from every other new unit with grey walls. In. Every. Single. Room. And hallway.

I used to rent in this building. Metro noise wasn’t too bad. The noise that made it hard to sleep was the go-go club across the street (no big deal on weekends but there were several nights of music during the week until past midnight.) The construction generally seemed shoddy –

My husband and I looked at another unit in this building last year. They are two level homes which was kind of nice, and they were also nicely constructed inside.

Looking through the pictures, that unit appears to face the metro; there also units that face a courtyard. We didn’t find the metro to be too loud, but freight trains might be a bother.
