“Friday I called Washington Gas to start service and was told that because they are implementing a new customer service system, they cannot accept any orders or do any customer service until Jan 4. That’s 2 weeks of no gas, no heat for 2 weeks. Can a public utility just make no service calls for 2 weeks? The customer service rep said they cannot assign any tickets to do any work until the new system is up. Can a public utility just make no service calls for 2 weeks? It’s not like I can call another company.”
