“Dear PoPville,
I am Staff Attorney at the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition, a DC-based immigration legal non-profit. I work with immigrant youth in detention centers in the area that are run by the Office of Refugee Resettlement. This month, we are focusing the spotlight on our Detained Children’s Program and the clients we serve through our First Annual Noviembre de Niños: Stand Up with Immigrant Youth! We have highlighted accessible ways that people can help support our detained child clients, such as purchasing an item off our Amazon wish list that we will deliver to detained immigrant children who are far from family and friends.”
