    That’s actually a McLaren…

  • Nathan

I believe someone in the neighborhood writes for an online publication and test drives / writes up articles on some pretty sweet rides. I saw a Ferrari being delivered a couple weeks ago.

    • Nathan

      also, yeah McLaren.

    • houseintherear

      Accurate.
I got to ride in that Ferrari! Bonkers.

  • Trinidaddy

    Dude – that’s a McLaren

  • Dan

    McLaren 570s to be exact.

  • Yes, it’s a McLaren 570S. And Nathan is correct, I’m the automotive editor at Ars Technica.

I can’t believe somebody street parked that car! It costs as much as a condo.

When I have cars like this to test they don’t get parked in Bloomingdale overnight.

      • Anonymous

I would hope not. Some kid will key the car just for kicks. Even during the day.
Some nice things are not allowed to be in Bloomingdale.

      • David

And those kids play pretty boisterously out in the street down on your block. As a kid I put a baseball through a car window, man I’d hate to have done a stupid kid thing to a McLaren.

    • Drgitlin

oh, with regards to the potholes and speed bumps, the car has a hydraulic lift to raise the nose a couple of inches so you can clear those. But it’s really not suited to city driving.

      • ah

        When’s the review coming?

        • Drgitlin

          Should run later this month.

  • These are not the doors of a billionaire!

    • DRC

“It doesn’t have doors that go like this (butterfly door motion), it doesn’t even have doors that go like this (scissor door motion), it has doors that go like this (normal sideways opening door with no special name motion)” [Just for the record, the 570s in the picture DOES have butterfly doors]
