I find it hard to understand how this is the heart of Brookland when it’s actually in Edgewood. Also, it looks very dark – not enough natural light.

Agreed regarding location. I’ll grant that Brookland has recently annexed a good chunk of what historically has been referred to as Edgewood, but this is basically “right in the heart of Edgewood.”
Nice enough unit. At this price I don’t imagine they’ll have any trouble finding a buyer.

How did Brookland annex a chunk of Edgewood?

        • Neighborly

Everything that is now Monroe Street Market (the triangle formed by Monroe, Michigan, and the Red line) is Edgewood. I’m not sure what the exact word is, but I think a “chunk” is correct. The fact that so many people now think this is Brookland shows how well it was annexed.

            Including the “BROOKLAND” sign.

Oh man, if my friends who lived across the street from here in the early 2000s knew that their neighborhood was now being billed as “the heart of Brookland” they would have a good laugh.
