  • The description for this property reminds me of the three jobs that I think I would be great at: 1) Crayon-color namer, 2) paint-color namer, 3) real-estate listing describer.

Seems expensive. Wee looked at houses in Eckington that were in decent shape for under 500k.

Those days are long gone. You could find a an average house that’s move in ready but needs updates now in Eckington for close to 600k. New flipped houses are going for around 750k. I’ve bought in the neighborhood a year and a half ago and it’s changed drastically.

Meh. Unfortunately getting more expensive wont actually make it a nice place to live.

Holy cow. Developer bought entire building at auction for $107K in 2013.

I live on this block. A bunch of these buildings are selling for gut renos and being flipped, and popped up. The one next to it is now popped up two whole floors. Had to pretty much take down everything except the facade and start from scratch though.

I see that this same building had previously sold in 2011 for $300K, then was foreclosed and sold for $107K in 2013. Did the 2011 buyer actually accomplish any work before being foreclosed on, or did the current developer do all of it?
