I’m not sure about an athlete specific place. I know Suzy Favor Hamilton used to work Vegas, but I’m sure she was on the expensive side.

Highly recommend the team at Lunar Massage (http://www.lunarmassagedc.com), especially Adaora who works in the Dupont Circle location (above Mr. Yogato) on the weekends.

My self-interest cautions me against recommending http://www.massagebyahmed.com/, because he’s the best and if you go it will be harder for me to get an appointment. But, on the flip side, Ahmed is amazing and it’s the season of giving, so I’ll share him with you. I run 3-4 marathons a year and Ahmed is the reason I’m still standing. He’s super nice and really flexible on timing (evenings, weekends, you name it).

Azziz at Deluca Massage in Dupont Circle

If you are in the Friendship Heights / Tenleytown area, Cary Bland is great. He’s also an athlete, so I appreciate that he knows what to look out for.

Whitney Maymon at the Aura Spa at the Renaissance Vida.

    • 100% Whitney. She is the best.

  • Linc Park SE

As an LMT, I HIGHLY recommend Emily Brown at Freed Bodyworks on PA Ave SE. She’s incredibly talented at locating impingements, and releasing bound fascia and muscle tissue. I loathe to rec her because it’s getting harder to book an appointment, but as a super picky massage receiver- I cannot say enough good things about her techniques.

Yes Larry at medextrainers.com! He does myofacial release work! Best in DC and conveniently located downtown at Farragut north metro!
