Yes, despite the $922. monthly fee, this building is actually condo ownership and not co-op. The building was built in 1960 and has an elevator, and a roof deck, and a 24 hour front desk person…all expensive from a maintenance and monthly fee perspective. Additionally, the fee includes gas, and electricity (as well as the typical water/sewer, common area maintenance, master insurance, management, and reserve funds) .
Many PoPville commenters to the original Good Deal or Not (GDoN) post were not particularly impressed. The unit sold above list in a week anyway.
This is the highest priced sale in this building to date. The next highest sale was for $401,068. in 2005, for the same tier layout one floor up. The last 2 bedroom unit to sell in the building was in August 2013 at $320,000.
