No idea if that’s a good deal or not, but that’s a great house and I’d buy it if I could afford it. Could use some updates, but great layout and lot!

Why is it that all of these grand houses look like they were last decorated in 1992? That being said, if I had a room large enough for that carpet in the bedroom, I’d give my eye teeth for it.

    • Seriously. It’s hard to even tell what the house looks like with those horrible drapes, wallpaper, sofa, chairs, paintings, etc…

      • Truxton Thomas

Maybe they’re a little TOO hidden from the street and the rest of the world. I think PoP’s tweet was something to the effect of, “If you like rugs, you’re going to love this…”

For the love of all that is holy, can these overpriced million dollar mansions just update their gd fridge? Jeez. A plain white fridge in a million dollar home with tacky outdated decor. Talk about ridiculous.

This price is for the square footage and the large private lot.
I think the interior is really dated and uber-vanilla. You would really need to redecorate and renovate the place.

Anyone spending over 2mill on a house will surely decorated it to their tastes – worry not.

Really surprisingly blah for the money. I guess that’s what a nice sized lot and a roof costs in that part of town, but as I’ve said before, if I’m spending that kind of money, I want architectural pop. Is it just the wide angle lens that makes the ceilings look so low? And where is the rest of the kitchen??

I love that the basement is all ready for the resident to deliver a budget SOTU.

Nothing says “I don’t cook” like that kitchen.

It’s a little steep for what it is.

So many places to sit… and sit facing other people. No single cushy coach plopped down in front of a big screen. The rich ARE different!

Exactly. I wonder if I will ever have a bathroom so large I could put a chair in it. Like they have in one of the bathroom pics.

  • Janie4

The bathroom sizes are nice, but they seemed to deliberately make a choice not to really show the tubs or the showers. Great layout, but there appears to be more storage and cabinetry in the kitchen they didn’t show, which is odd.

They’re trying to hide as much of the bright brass plumbing fixtures as they can.

OMG yes. Loughboro Road is my dream street. It’s so peaceful and stately. I’d put up with the brass fixtures.
