Seems like a decent deal for the location – I’ve always had roof deck envy of that building. That kitchen is screaming out for some upper cabinets, though.

Will the smell from the couch go away when it is removed?

  • kallie

does anyone else find the lack of cabinets in the kitchen really odd?

This building has a really interesting past. It used to have huge apartments for the rich along with a rooftop restaurant. At some point it was then broken up into smaller condos and the restaurant was converted as well. I’d love to see some old-time pictures of the building in it’s prime!

I always feel like if you’re going to buy a place, it ought to have a washer and dryer in unit. Maybe I’m spoiled.

What I appreciate in a good building is a great laundry room. I had hoped for a washer/dryer in unit, but layer realized that doing 3 loads simultaneously is a real time saver!

Very good deal for this neighborhood with a manageable fee. Most bldgs in Kalorama have much higher fees.

I used to live in the building directly adjacent to this one, and the only thing is that on the lower floors at least the Connecticut Ave traffic is often quite loud. That being said, I still think it is a decent deal for this area, and I also agree the kitchen is in dire need of some upper cabinets or decorations or something.

Wait I take what I said back about Connecticut Ave traffic, because I was definitely thinking this was another building in Kalorama until I just looked at the map. Still could be a concern though.

Without seeing it in person, it seems like a pretty good deal esp. for the location. Kitchen needs some updating, but the place is sub $300K. It should go quickly.

  • soozles

Is that real bedroom? Don’t see a window, but hard to tell.

    NEVER BUY A CO-OP!
