1841 7th Street, NW

From an email:

“We’re so excited to open the third installment in our trilogy of bars in Shaw, Southern Efficiency. Though it’s important not to pick favorites among your children, I can say my greatest love when it comes to drinking is whiskey. So there you have it. And we’ll have whiskey. Lots of it. Bar manager J.P. Fetherston has created a stellar list of Southern whiskies along with jarred-cocktails and White Whiskey & Smoked Cola on tap. Manager Tim Hayes is complementing it with a selection of Southern beers and cider. And chef Julien Shapiro will round it out with Southern food and snacks, including fried catfish, deviled eggs and peanut soup. (Woah, the peanut soup is delicious!)”

Hours will be Tue – Thu: 5:00 pm – 12:30 am
Fri – Sat: 5:00 pm – 1:30 am
Sun: 5:00 pm – 11:30 pm”

The first two of Derek Brown’s Trilogy for 7th Street are Eat the Rich and Mockingbird Hill.
