KAMA DC Storytelling Night: Language and Identity with the WEC

The Apollo Conservatory Room
600 H Street Northeast
Washington, D.C. 20002

Language is often one of the biggest barriers to connecting with others and integrating into a new community, with it also shaping our identity and serving as a source of pride.

Please consider joining as KAMA DC and the Washington English Center (WEC) come together for a powerful night of storytelling featuring individuals speaking on the theme of language and identity. Whether it’s stories of learning a new language in a new place or growing up speaking multiple languages, storytellers will discuss the trials and rewards of navigating these experiences and the impact this has had on their identities.
