Topic: where to place remodeling permits
where to place remodeling permits
Admittedly first world problem here.
Our condo association has rules against anybody placing signs on our lawn, but we have a particular contractor who insists that b/c the work he is doing is on a unit that is below ground level (i.e. English basement), DC law requires that the permits be placed on a sign — that happens to be very large and also advertises his company — in front of the unit, rather than placed in the windows or on the door, which is what would normally be done, and which would be clearly visible from the sidewalk for this particular location.
Does anybody know if he’s correct about this DC law? I can’t find info online and am having trouble getting an answer through DCRA by phone. I’d like to call shenanigans on him, provided he’s just making this up to advertise his company.
