Topic: Volunteers needed!
Gala volunteers are needed on Saturday, November 23rd for Starlight MidAtlantic’s Taste of the Stars 2013 “A Stellar Night” at the Four Seasons in Georgetown, Washington DC.
Starlight Children’s Foundation™ MidAtlantic is the local chapter of a leading global health and education charity working to embrace, empower and enrich the lives of children from illness to wellness. Whether it’s a Fun Center in the hospital, a Starlight Escape in the community or Starbright World online, Starlight works to make sure that kids have the opportunity to be kids, even while in the hospital. A record 15 million hours of entertainment has been provided to more than 275,000 children receiving treatment at 110 hospitals throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, DC, since 1999
Taste of the Stars is a truly magical evening that more than 40 volunteers help to make happen. There are a variety of positions available for practically any skill set or personality; from the more visible positions of greeters, registration and checkout, to the behind the scenes of set-up and administration. Training is provided. Volunteers are asked to arrive at the Four Seasons by 4:30 p.m. on November 23rd and stay through midnight. If you have availability outside of these hours, please let us know and we can find a role that fits your timing.
To sign up to volunteer for Taste of the Stars or for more information, please contact Whitney at [email protected] or (202) 293-7827.
