Topic: Stolen Vespa
I am hoping someone out there will recognize this stolen item and hopefully help my brother recover it. His only mode of transportation was stolen Tuesday, June 30th on the GW campus. It is a maroon colored Vespa model LX 50, year 2006. He, stupidly, parked his Vespa out front of the building he works in and ran in to work because he was late. For the first time ever, he forgot to lock it up. Between 1pm and 5pm, someone ripped the front panel of the Vespa off with what looked like a garden tool, hotwired it, and stole it.
He already filed a police report, but there are some pretty distinctive features that may help folks recognize it. Again, the front panel under the headlight was removed, so that is missing. There are large scratches on the right side. The right-hand rear view mirror is also missing (another casualty while parked and locked up at a local bar in our neighborhood). It is maroon in color and there is white sticker with red lettering that says a “DChillin’” located near the dash. Any help would be much appreciated! For anyone who has seen this Vespa, please contact Mike via email [email protected], call 571-239-1723, or call and report the sighting to the police.
