Spanish classes?

Can anyone recommend any Spanish classes in the area that they have taken and liked? Weekends or evenings are fine, but I am not interested in the USDA school. Ideally, I’d like a program where I could start at beginner level and continue taking classes until I have a good handle on the basics and vocab and can then study on my own.

The Carlos Rosario charter school at 11th & Harvard has adult Spanish classes on Saturday mornings. The next session begins on Feb 2. They were $250 for the term (not including books) and I thought they were helpful.

Spanish tutor DC is great for conversational Spanish. They have all levels.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive option the Global Language Network is about to start its Spring semester with registration opening up on Saturday. I can’t speak for their Spanish but I loved the two Italian classes I took through them.

If you have a teachable skill you could offer an exchange with someone. 1/2 hour Spanish class for 1/2 hour ???
