Recycling boxes of paper

Anonymous

Has anyone found a service that will come pick up boxes of (non sensitive) documents and whatnot for recycling? The big companies like Iron Mountain who do the secure shredding have a minimum weight that they charge for, and it’s about 10 times what I have. This is six or seven small (5 ream size) boxes of outdated letterhead and stuff.
Thanks!

You could just take them to Fort Totten Transfer station…. or just put them in your recycle bin over the course of a few weeks.

If it’s not sensitive material, just put it out with your regular recycling.

Right, and if you’re worried about privacy, just wet/stain the papers and dispose of them with the regular trash.   (I believe that wetting papers into a pulp and mixing it with household garbage is more secure than shredding anyways, even if not as enviromentally friendly as recycling).

If your office provides recycling/shredding, bring your paper in staggered doses.
