Patio heater

In february I will be moving into a new townhome with a roofdeck. I am interested in getting a propane patio heater so that I can utilize the deck for at least 3 seasons. A few things I am trying to figure out:
1) How stable are they in the wind
2.) how many BTU’s to keep 6 people warm/warmish
3.) Any brands that you recommend
Any recommendations would be welcomed

Go to Home Depot and get one.  They are on sale.
The wind is an issue but it will be fine on your deck because they can actually be attached to the deck to keep them from falling in the wind.  Just some screws that you can remove in the off season.
We have one and it is awesome.

target also has them. as long as the propane tank is inside, wind shouldn’t be too big of an issue.

Be careful.  I’ve heard Propane tanks are not allowed within 10ft of any housing structure in DC, so on a roofdeck would be a bit too close.  I only know this b/c a friend needed to get a natural gas line run so he could have a grill on his top floor deck.  I could be wrong, but it may be something you want to check.  I doubt anything would happen, but if anything ever does, insurance may not like it.
Also, be sure to store and use propane tanks with their valves up.
