Music In Action Benefit Concert to Support "Saving Children’s Lives"
We’re friends with a wonderful doctor, and all around great guy, Peter Meaney, who is a pediatrician and Program Director for an organization that trains medical professionals in Botswana to combat infant mortality. The organization, “Saving Children’s Lives,” is having a benefit concert at Bier Baron on Sunday, May 17. Info is below and at their Facebook page. Since 2013, they have trained over 200 nurses and 5 trainers, and helped reduce infant mortality by 22% at Princess Marina Hospital in Gabarone, Botswana. For this concert, they have a goal of raising $7,000 to train 35 lifesavers.
On a personal note, we traveled with Pete and his family in Botswana and South Africa in March. Botswana is awesome – the people we met were lovely, and this is a great opportunity to support a group making a real difference in saving children’s lives.
2nd Music In Action Benefit Concert to support the “Saving Children’s Lives” program, which targets the reduction of preventable infant mortality in resource limited communities of Botswana. This program was created in concert with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the American Heart Association.
