Please join the DC Arts Center (DCAC) for Cuisine des Artistes, an exciting biennial fund-raising event designed to strengthen and build awareness for DCAC’s ongoing visual and performing arts programs. The event will be held at The Meridian House, 1630 Crescent Place, NW, on Thursday, May 10, 2012 beginning at 6:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased here:
Showcasing the talents of local area chefs and artists, Cuisine des Artistes is a dinner happening. In this rare union, gastronomical, visual, theatrical and literary artists join forces to create a feast for the senses featuring the most delicious edible art. With entertainment by performing artists, design by visual artists, and food created by culinary artists, Cuisine des Artistes is more than an event, it’s a phenomenon.
The evening will begin with a cocktail hour featuring artist-produced appetizers, presented by the artists themselves in the serene garden of the fantastic Meridian House. A delectable main course of artist-chef team creations will then unfold in the main ballroom. As you create your own feast of tapas-style delicacies during the main course you’ll be introduced to Bill Warrell, the third honoree to receive the Herb White Award. This award is designed to honor an unsung person who has given their time and energy beyond the call of duty to benefit the arts in Washington. The short ceremony will be followed by artistic desserts and coffee. Featuring eclectic entertainment including poetry, musical and performing artists, Cuisine des Artistes is always highlight of the season and a terrific way to usher in the spring.

-Chef David Shewmaker of Meridian Pint and Chef Bev Eggleston of EcoFriendly Foods with artist Cynthia Connolly
-Chef Tom Brown of The Passenger with artist Richard Vosseller
