In Need of a Gate

Someone took our front gate on Friday, while we were at work. It never occurred
to me that it’s fairly easy to remove, and probably of some value. It’s from one
of the typical low iron fences that surround many DC rowhomes; if you have
one I’d recommend attaching the gate to the fence with a lock.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? Might Community Forklift have

Forklift had a bunch of iron fencing and gates last weekend. Luck of the draw, but you might find one that fit. You might be able to get one that can be modified to fit, too. My neighbors had new black fencing (with gates) installed the other year. New installation seems easier, if less satisfying.

Great, I guess it’s it’s worth checking CF first. Do you happen to know who your neighbors used?

He said he lost touch with that guy, but recommends Binis ironwork at 202-256-9976. I have never seen that work. I expect you can find a lot of welders willing to do it.
