Honda Car Dealerships?

Has anyone had a good experience with any around the DMV area? We are looking to buy a car, and want to purchase from a dealership for various reasons.

My parents bought the honda civic that I am still driving ( 8 years later) from Sport Honda up rt 29. It was certified pre-owned and I remember it being a pretty low pressure and straight forward interaction, although I was a teenager so take my observations with that in mind. And that was a while ago so maybe this isn’t helpful at all.

I have had my car serviced at Landmark Honda much more recently, and have nothing good to say about the place. If I deter one person from going there to buy a car I will feel so fulfilled. (Basically lied to me and were in general disrespectful and condescending)

I had a very good experience recently with Sport Honda’s service center just up Georgia Ave in Silver Spring. The service manager was genuine and actually discouraged me from having extra work done. (“Your car runs great. If it was my car, I’d just keep an eye on X instead of replacing it right now.”)

We just bought a CR-V from Landmark Honda and had a great experience. Easy, straightforward, and got a great rate on the financing. Max was our salesman and he was very helpful.

We previously bought a Honda from Brown’s Honda in Arlington, which was a less than pleasant experience. The salesman basically would say anything to sell us the car, they repeatedly messed up our paperwork, and it culminated in the salesman and the finance guy getting in a fist fight while they were working on our financing paperwork (the manager had to separate them). It was as memorable as it was unprofessional.

I would echo ‘mtpreader’ in being weary of Brown’s Honda of Arlington, but I’ve only dealt with the Service Center. While they were fast, they’ve “fixed” a rattle in my rear speaker deck THREE times now, only to have it continue to occur, sold me the wrong wiper blade replacements AT the parts window, and every time I go in for an oil change, they’ve recommended no less than $500 in work to be done. They also show no regard for establishing a customer relationship, as I’ve had a different service rep every single time, even after requesting the previous one.

I purchased the actual car from Hagerstown Honda, and got the Internet sales price, which was true to form, absolutely no hassle, and while they had sold the one I had wanted to look at, they had an identical model, less miles, one owner as opposed to two, AND they Certified it for free, because they didn’t want me to feel that had pulled a “bait and switch” on me. Internet price was $16.9k, it appraised for over $22k, which was great.
