Fiddle Instructor?

I’m having difficulty finding an instructor who is willing to teach beginning fiddlers. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Tenleytown – it’s called the Music Shop ( I think) – there is not an instrument they dont teach

I cannot say enough positive things about Allison Bolton! She loves teaching beginner fiddle. She’s a talented teacher and player, and all-around great gal. You can email her at: fiddlestixfix(at)yahoo(dot)com.

What kind of fiddle do you want to learn? Irish, bluegrass, old-time. . . ? A great starting point is the House of Musical Traditions in Takoma Park. They can connect you with fiddlers of every stripe.

A friend of mine forwarded this to me. I may be too late, but if you’re still looking, I do teach complete beginners. I play Irish fiddle, so the instruction would be leaning in that direction of course… <[email protected]>
