Exchanging a mattress

So, I have a twin mattress that is less than a year old and is perfectly fine, but I was wondering if there were any places that would let me trade it in for a full mattress. I know Craigslist exists, but I don’t want to bother with selling it and then waiting to find a full mattress.

I don’t think there is really any value in a used twin mattress.

You’re probably better off giving it away or selling it to an intern for 20 bucks.  If you’re looking for an low quality full mattress for 100 bucks– try capital discount on rhode island ave NE.

You spend 1/3 of your life give or take, laying on your mattress. If there is one thing to spring for quality on, it’s your mattress. I finally bought an adult mattress about 3 years ago. It is heaven. Take the leap, buy a good queen size and be thankful you did.

I don’t think mattress places do “trade-ins” the way car dealerships do.
I’d recommend either giving it away via Freecycle or Craigslist, or selling it (for some nominal sum, like Samosa suggested) on Craigslist.
