Best croissant in the area?

I’m new to the area and looking for the best croissant (flaky & buttery) in the area, preferably in Columbia Heights.  Any suggestions?

The new bakery where the Giant used to be.
Le Caprice DC is its name. Um….. ok, I’ll find the address.

L’Occolat at 1781 Florida has delicious croissant and pain au chocolat, by far the best we’ve found in the city so far.  If you show up at 9 a.m. on weekends, they are hot from the oven.  Yummmmmm.

While I may be biased, I believe that my wife’s bakery, Frenchie’s, makes the best croissants outside of Paris.  She sells out of Seasonal Pantry near the Convention Center.

I was just wondering where the best chocolate croissant is in town!  The croissant portion of the choco croissant I got the other day at Pret a Manger was very good, but I haven’t (yet) compared it to other bakeries in DC.

Patisserie Poupon, in Georgetown, also has an excellent croissant.
