(Art Exhibition) The Push Back
What happens when those who were once viewed as meek and mild become confident and aware of their inherent power? Does this shift in status quo change the game or merely shift the players? If the victim can become victorious then surely the lines of power can also be blurred, redrawn or even crossed out.
Through visual works of art “The Push Back,” curated by Martina Dodd, tackles the complexities of the relational boundaries created to differentiate the oppressed and oppressor. Featuring work by David Ibata, Lionel Daniels, and Monique Dodd.
Opening Reception Friday July 24, 2015 6-8pm
