AUGUST 18TH: Happy Hour to benefit Operation Underground Railroad

Everyone loves a good happy hour, and everyone loves a good cause! Come have a drink and join the Operation Underground Railroad and Javelin teams as they raise funds for upcoming missions! Feel free to share this and bring friends!

Who: Operation Underground Railroad – They are a group of highly trained ex-CIA, Navy SEALs, and Special Ops op experts who work to end child trafficking in the United States and abroad.

What: HAPPY HOUR – percentage of proceeds made during this will be donated to O.U.R. for future missions.

Where: Boundary Stone- 116 Rhode Island Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001

When: August 18, 2016

Why: 325,000 children are at risk for becoming victims of sexual exploitation just in the United States. O.U.R. works to rescue children trapped in sex slavery and spread awareness to lower the number exploited each year. Child sex trafficking is a difficult subject, but starting the conversation and raising money to help O.U.R. is just one way to make that conversation a little easier!

YPT’s Giving Voice Award Gala

Hey, PoPville!

Young Playwrights’ Theater (YPT) is an arts education nonprofit, that inspires students to realize the power of their own voices. Join us on Saturday, March 12 for YPT’s fourth annual Giving Voice Award Gala, honoring Shakespeare Theatre Company Artistic Director Michael Kahn.

Date: Saturday, March 12
Time: 7pm – 11pm
Location: North Hall at Eastern Market

Enjoy a full open bar and delicious hors d’oeuvres, bid on unique silent auction prizes and dance the night away with music provided by DJ Matt Spangler!

Most importantly, YPT’s gala will once again highlight the inspiring voices of DC students, featuring readings by some of the wonderful young people we serve. All funds raised at the event will help us provide free arts education to thousands of low-income students across the city.
