Any 'must-see' holiday events?

Hi all,

Since it is *nearly* December and I am fairly new to DC, I was wondering if there are any must-see holiday events that I should go to! Also, I would really like to attend a performance of the Nutcracker, has anyone seen the Washington Ballet version?

Thanks!

Looking for a NW event venue for 150 people w/DJ and Dance Space

Dear POPville,
I am hosting an event for a nonprofit on 3/26. We are expecting around 150 people and our venue just fell through. The original place was going to let us host for free so long as we kept it open to the public, which I am totally fine with, but all the other places I have contacted are already booked, or want a huge minimum. I am crowd sourcing recommendations for a place that have a dj space, dance area and at least one bar.
Thanks! -T
