After just two hours in her new home, my adopted rescue dog Ellie (shelter/foster name) ran away, most likely in search of her foster home in SE DC. We live in NE DC, and she was last seen near Mt. Olivet Road. Please do not chase her, as she is probably terrified, and can outrun you. If you spot her, Please notify me or the Washington Humane Society (202-576-6664 #1).
Ellie is a black and brown hound mix, about 35 lbs, and wearing a purple collar.
She was rescued from the floods in NC this fall, and spent two weeks with a foster, so she is probably trying to find her way back home. She is very shy, and not aggressive.
Hi Petworth, is anybody missing this adorable feline? It is quite comfortable around people and scared outside. I found it outside of Petworth Citizen around 8:30pm Wednesday evening. No collar, doesn’t feel like a chip either. Please let me know, it’s quite friendly and could use a good home.
It was in a parking space against the curb, halfway between N & O on the east side of 9th Street NW, so I suspect it fell out of/off of a car. It’s full of CFA study guides and black binders of class notes as well as a couple of personal items.
Message me if you lost it & tell me what the personal items are; we will get it back to you somehow.
I found this very sweet little cat in my backyard near 9th and S St NW in Shaw. She is small, probably under a year, but litter box trained and very friendly. Might have been lost a few weeks back as she looks like she has been on her own for a little while. She didn’t have a microchip. If this is your cat let me know!
Some poor sap put his computer on the top of his car and drove off. It flew of his car at the intersection of Mass and 6th NW. I picked it up – if you lost your Macbook, let me know! It covered with stickers, in a black case, and had a land survey in the case as well.
I found this kitten in front of my house early this morning at 12th and “N”, NW. He is male, about 5 1/2 months old, unneutered and does not have a chip. He is a dusty orange tiger with orange eyes, 4 white paws and a white chest. He is very curious, friendly and playful. The vet tech said he looks clean and healthy. Does anybody own this little guy??
I can only keep him for a day (I have 2 cats already). And the Washington Humane Society will then hold him for 4 more days before offer him for adoption. Please give my information to anyone who might own him.
This morning I found a very sweet young cat in our yard; she was scared and dehydrated and clearly domesticated. If you have lost her, please call / text (202) 560-0308.
Calico – tabby, female, about 1 year old, affectionate and litterbox trained.
