“There are food trucks that have been blocking the crosswalks and eliminating visibility for EVERYONE for more than a year”

14th St and Jefferson Drive, NW

“Dear PoPville,

I am sending this hoping that someone/anyone can do something at the corner of 14th St and Jefferson Dr. NW. There are food trucks that have been blocking the crosswalks and eliminating visibility for EVERYONE for more than a year and our authorities have given up and decided to let the trucks run wild. Not sure if it was the NPS or DC gov that installed horrible fences last year hoping the trucks would no longer park there because of the visibility problems. The trucks do not care and just moved and now block the sidewalks eliminating all visibility.

It is horrible to go by there almost every day on my bike and cringe when peds get a walk signal and cars get the green light and they cannot see the cars running the red. So two things here – the trucks blocking crosswalks and drivers running reds all the time.

Also – WHEN ARE FOOD TRUCKS GOING TO BE ELECTRIC? It is painful to hear all the noise and smell all the fumes in our National Mall – just saying.”
