“Tickets are on sale now for the National Zoo’s 11th annual Brew at the Zoo, held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. The event, hosted by Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ), will feature more than 70 craft beers on tap for the beer tasting extravaganza, all in support of wildlife conservation. Local favorites such as Port City Brewing Company and Atlas Brew Works will be joined by popular microbreweries including DC Brau Brewing Company, Flying Dog Brewery, and BadWolf Brewing Company.

In addition to sampling great hops, guests will be able to purchase food from local favorites including Ledo’s Pizza, and popular food trucks. Guests will be able to mingle with new and old friends while playing lawn games and enjoying live music by Bachelor Boys Band.

“Where else can you drink beer and support wildlife?”, said Robert Lamb, Executive Director of Friends of the National Zoo, “Being able to taste over 70 brews from some amazing craft and microbreweries, all while hearing the lions roar at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo, really sets this event apart.”

General admission tickets are $50 for FONZ members and $65 for nonmembers. VIP tickets are $85 for FONZ members and $100 for nonmembers. VIP ticket holders will have access to the exclusive VIP area where they will receive generous pours of beer and complimentary food tastings by local restaurants. VIP guests will also enjoy special animal demonstrations and will be granted early admission to the event before the general public. Sober driver tickets are also available for $30. Sober drivers will not receive a commemorative mug and will not be served beer. Early admission is available for purchase for $20 as an add-on to general admission. All but $25 of your ticket price is tax-deductible.

Tickets are available now via Eventbrite for FONZ members and June 25 for non-members. (Please note space is limited and the event typically sells out, so purchase tickets early.) For details about the event, please visit the Brew at the Zoo event site:www.fonz.org/brew. Proceeds from Brew at the Zoo event benefit animal care and conservation at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and around the world. Now that’s something worth toasting!”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
