The Hilltop Bar & Restaurant

We’ve had a lot of random passersby and almost as many FB messages asking when we’re really, actually going to finally open… we’re shooting for late May (June 1st at the absolute latest). See you then!
This must be the slowest opening in the history of DC bars.
I am hosting an event for a nonprofit on 3/26. We are expecting around 150 people and our venue just fell through. The original place was going to let us host for free so long as we kept it open to the public, which I am totally fine with, but all the other places I have contacted are already booked, or want a huge minimum. I am crowd sourcing recommendations for a place that have a dj space, dance area and at least one bar.
Join Young Playwrights’ Theater TONIGHT to celebrate our 21st year of arts education programming and professional performances!
6pm – 9pm
Lou’s City Bar, 1400 Irving Street NW
THE DEAL: Donate $5 to YPT at the door, and enjoy an extended Happy Hour until 9pm! Happy Hour includes select draft beers, house wines and rail drinks for $5 each.
THE CAUSE: Young Playwrights’ Theater inspires young people to realize the power of their own voices. By teaching students to express themselves through the art of playwriting, YPT develops students’ language skills, and empowers them with the creativity, confidence and critical thinking skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Please note that this event is only open for patrons over age 21. We hope to see you tonight!
I’m getting married next Aug. in Chinatown, and looking to do an informal meet-and-greet the night before near the venue.
Any ideas for a bar space in the general Gallery Place or Mt. Vernon Square area that could fit up to 75 people on a Fri night in late Aug.? A privatized space isn’t necessary, but would be a bonus.
Thanks so much in advance for any thoughts!!!
Hi- Now that Spring is approaching, what are some great dog friendly restaurants, bars and shops in DC? I know the CVS in Chinatown is dog friendly along with Irish Channel and Alba’s on Wednesdays for HH. Any other favorites? I wish DC was a more pet friendly city, but I’ll take what I can get!
I’m a piano player who plays old standards and ragtime tunes. I’m looking for places around DC that might have pianos and wouldn’t mind (maybe would even pay a little for) some background piano music. You’d think with all the cool bars popping up around DC one would opt for the classic sound of an old upright piano hammering away some Ellington or Fats Waller. (Also, if you are a new hip bar, ever thought of getting a piano?) Thanks in advance for the tips!
