W. Carver Langston is a friendly cat that lives in my alley. He’s been neutered and vaccinated as part of DC’s trap neuter return program, but since he’s young (probably about a year old) and is constantly trying to get in to my house, I’m trying to find him a forever home. He’s a fantastic companion and greets me every morning and evening, hangs out with me while I garden, and lives to be pet. He also doesn’t mind being held and is not aggressive around food. He has his own Instagram account where you can follow his escapades:www.Instagram.com/w.carverlangston
Please contact me if interested. I adore this cat, but I have 3 of my own that would not take well to a 4th!
Homeward Trails Rescue will be participating in the 2nd annual Bark at Barcroft event, hosted by GW’s baseball team. We’ll have about 15 dogs coming that are looking for a forever home. Information is below and you can see the dogs coming here: http://www.homewardtrails.org/event/bark-at-barcroft/.
Please come out to support a great cause! And remember, adopt, don’t shop! 🙂
Date: April 19, 2015
Time: 11 – 1 pm
Venue: Bark at Barcroft
Address: 4200 S Four Mile Run Drive, Arlington, Virginia
Starting at 11:00 a.m., pet owners will have the opportunity to enter the DogZone; a special area located inside the gates to Barcroft Park where we will have some of our fabulous HT dogs for adoption and local vendors will be providing services! Pet owners are welcome to bring their well behaved, social, leashed and vaccinated dogs and and purchase tickets to attend the game.
For tickets to Bark at Barcroft, stop by the Athletics ticket office, call (202) 99-GWTIX, or email [email protected]. Tickets will be available for purchase at Barcroft Park the day of the game or during any weekend GW Baseball games prior to April 19th.
HT will be set up just outside the baseball stadium with our sweet adoptable dogs. Maybe one of these adoptable pups can find their forever home with you? Hope to see you there!
I wanted to see if anyone has noticed this super friendly black and white kitty wandering around 6th and I NE recently. I know there are a lot of alley cats around, but she definitely seems like she had a home. This is the first week we have seen her in the neighborhood, and she is extremely friendly.
She hangs around 6th and I NE. No collar.
My neighbors and I are fearful that she was abandoned. It would be great to reunite her or find her a new home before the freeze. I would definitely scoop her up, but my husband is allergic to cats and my dog is a little too aggressive toward cats on the street.
The Washington Humane Society’s Mega Adoption Event FRISKY BUSINESS, will be for 8 hours only. 11:00 am – 7:00 pm $8 adoption fees for 8 hours, and standard adoption procedures apply.
WHS has dogs, cats, kittens, and even a couple of bunnies and guinea pigs right now!
Come to this event and meet a furry animal that fits your pace and living situation.
I’ll be bringing my two fostered kittens, Drum and Annelle to the event. They are 18 weeks old and looking for a permanent home. The kittens are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and come with love and purring!
Hope to see some animal lovers from PoPville!

Sweet-natured rescue cat, Zidane, who has lived with me for 8 years, needs a new home. Ever since I got pregnant, Zidane has made clear that he would like a new home (I have taken him to the vet and there is nothing wrong). He is a big teddy bear of a cat who loves to hang out (but not too close), and talk back when you talk to him. He is around 9 years old, is indoor and fixed, and has a sensitive stomach which just means predominantly wet food (dry treats once in a while only), and a dash of Myralax in each feeding. Zidane really is the nicest cat I have ever met, and I really want to place him in a new home instead of taking my chances with a shelter. You may reach me at [email protected] if you are interested or have any questions. Thank you!
