Mugging Adams Morgan

I was mugged last night (Thursday, May 23) around 11:30pm about a block south of the corner of 19th and Wyoming.  Two African American males (guessing in their 20s) pushed me down and took my belongings and ran off.  I (not so wisely) ran after them and saw them get into a car at 18th and Wyoming heading north (a dark SUV I believe).  If anyone witnessed the event and has more details I could provide to the police, that would be wonderful. Or you happened to find any of my belongings that were dumped (coral colored purse – Target brand, blue old navy bag with gym clothes inside) that would also be great.
Thanks for the help.  Please remember to always be aware of your surroundings and be cautious! Lesson learned.  A little shaken up but otherwise thankfuly unharmed.

H St NE trolley tracks and bike accidents

About two weeks ago I was riding my bike on H St. NE near 6th St and my wheel got caught in the trolley tracks and I flew over the handelbars. It was a pretty hard fall — some good samaritans were walking near by and helped me up and got some ice as I recovered my wits. Just want to throw out a thank you. The arm ended up being broken and is now in a cast for about 2 months.
Also, does any one know if the city is going to actually put a trolley on the tracks? If so, it would be great to add a separate bike lane or something. Those tracks are a huge danger to cyclists and I hear that lots of riders have had problems there. The “Caution Cyclists” signs are a joke and probably aren’t going to keep riders off H St NE.

Movers to get a couch through a window?

An overstuffed couch has recently come into my life – but it doesn’t fit through my front door.  Looking for any local movers in the area who could help to hoist it through a 3rd floor window. Preferably, I’d like to find movers who have done this before… Thanks for any suggestions!
