I love stumbling upon these old advertisements. This one is from Trinidad. Sadly this sweet carriage house is in some pretty rough shape. Hopefully it can still be saved one day.

Awesome carriage house from Capitol Hill. Even has the hook up top:

I love this one from Georgetown.

I love this one from Ledroit Park.

Some seriously sweet carriage houses in Mt. Pleasant.

It’s been a while since we’ve had a carriage house for HotD. This one’s from Logan Circle. While I normally like the doors the best, I’m digging this thing up top:

I think the “countless windows” claim is perhaps a bit dramatic but otherwise seems very cool. $549,000 sound right for this 2 bed/1 bath?

I actually wanted to post this as a GDoN but I couldn’t find the listing. So free PoP t-shirt to the first person who can find the listing. It’s located behind H St, NE in what I thought was Linden Ct. I’m dying to see the inside!
What do you think of it from the outside?

Thanks to a reader for noticing this former house of the day. It’s yours for $390,000 – sound realistic?

Good looking carriage house from behind 13th St, NW near Logan Circle.

I know these are a little bit beat up but what I can I say? I love carriage houses. I also think it’s interesting to compare the two. Note the two bay doors on the one on the left. I wonder if that’s how they originally looked?

Time to share the joys of Blagden Alley again. If you have a carriage house craving like I get from time to time, head here:

Uh, er, uh, my ability to speak (write) escapes me at the moment. Holy cow, that is a killer carriage house. I’ve featured it before just from the outside but I had no idea the inside and garden were so wild. It’s funny I was going to Re-PoP this carriage house this week because I was going through carriage house withdrawal and in a random search it came up for sale. It’s yours for $3,995,000.
