“Happy hour at Taqueria del Barrio runs from 4pm-8pm on Tuesdays through Fridays, with specials available at the bar or in the lounge seating tucked behind the bar. Drink specials include their $7 Margarita del Barrio (mezcal, pineapple, habanero-turmeric syrup), $5 classic margaritas or seasonal punch of the day, $6 select wines, and $1 off a rotating selection of draft beers. Food specials include $5 ‘gringo’ tacos with beef stuffed inside crispy taco shells, $5 guacamole, $5 mini torta Mexican sandwiches, $6 queso dip, and $7 nachos topped with Taqueria del Barrio’s homemade mole.

Late night happy hour runs from 9pm until close on Tuesdays through Fridays, with specials available at the bar counter. Guests can satisfy cravings with half-price empanadas – a specialty of husband-and-wife owners Shawn & Anna Leis, who also operate DC Empanadas – and chicken taquitos, while enjoying $5 classic margaritas, $6 select wines, and $1 off draft beers.”
