From a press release:

“Short Eats announces the launch of its pop-up breakfast café at Ten Tigers Parlour, located at 3813 Georgia Ave NW. The location is one block from the Petworth-Georgia Avenue Metro Station.

Starting Monday, May 8th and on weekdays 7:00-10:00AM, Short Eats is offering a breakfast version of its street food roti pockets in vegetarian and meat options with poached eggs. Local partner Compass Coffee will also be sold. Both carry-out and in-house eating are welcome.

“Short eats are an everyday staple in Sri Lanka. I’m excited to introduce DC communities to our culture’s food. My family has been cooking rotis, curries and diverse Sri Lankan dishes using our home-grown spices from the island for years,” stated Yohan Ferdinando, Co-Founder of Short Eats and former Operations Manager of food delivery startups Postmates and Favor.

Union Kitchen member Short Eats further plans to launch a full catering menu at the Petworth Community Farmers Market starting May 13 through November. Roti pockets and curries will be sold every Saturday 9:00AM-1:00PM at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Upshur Street.

On Saturday May 6, Short Eats will also be at the Funk Parade offering Sri Lankan native-spice curries bowls and its signature pol sambol near Howard Theater throughout the day starting at 12p/noon.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
