From MPD:

“At approximately 1:45pm this afternoon, 2 subjects approached an individual in the 1200 block of S Street NW and attempted to rob her. The suspects ran off and responding units located them in the 2000 block of 9th Street NW. Both individuals were quickly stopped without incident and positively identified as the subjects who committed the attempted robbery. At the time of the arrest, one of the individuals was in possession of a handgun, which was recovered. Both subjects are adult males and were charged with Assault with the Intent to Rob While Armed, along with other charges. The victim of the robbery attempt was not injured and no property was obtained.

This is another excellent example of the community and the police working together to get 2 violent criminals and an illegal handgun off the streets.”
