15-year-old Arrested for Alleged Stabbing and Armed Robbery (Knife) in Columbia Heights

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District announced an arrest has been made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) and an Armed Robbery (Knife) that occurred in the Third District.

· Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife): On Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at approximately 3:30 pm, in the 1400 block of Park Road, Northwest.

o The victim was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects brandished a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times. The suspects fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. This case remains under investigation.

· Armed Robbery (Knife): On Monday, April 3, 2017, at approximately 4:40 pm, in the 1000 block of Irving Street, Northwest.

o Three suspects approached the victim and demanded the victim’s property. One suspect brandished a knife. All three suspects went through the victim’s pockets. The suspects took the victim’s cell phone and wallet then fled the location. This case remains under investigation.

On Thursday, May 18, 2017, a 15-year-old Juvenile Male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Knife) and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
