  • ooh, one of those newfangled microwaves i saw at the World’s Fair last year! This place is high tech.

    • You laugh but my grandmother did without an oven for over a decade (longer?) back in the 60s because my granddad thought the microwave was the future.

      • I’ll take an oven over a microwave any day.

      • I never use my microwave. If I lived in a place this tiny for awhile, I could easily live with just some induction burners and a good quality toaster oven, as I rarely use my oven, and generally only for small stuff that it seems inefficient to use my big 30″ oven for anyway.

  • I love in this building and love it. Management has been great so far and I’ve never had issues with bugs or rodents.

  • Of course, you can get a microwave at Walmart (or elsewhere) for about $50, and at any rate, there doesn’t seem to be a microwave in the kitchen pictures, not over the stove and not on the counter. Did I miss it? There clearly isn’t a dishwasher, perhaps the mention of a microwave was to distract from that issue.

  • My studio is a similar size (and no included microwave, how dare they!) and I am so jealous of this kitchen layout. My kitchen is completely walled off and ventilation is terrible – this is genius because it opens up the kitchen without killing the cabinet space.
