  • I always wondered what that building looks like on the inside! Beautiful unit, but the price may be low because the 2nd level is in the basement, and Bloomingdale is notorious for flooding. Maybe the 1st St. tunnel project will alleviate the problem?

    • Bloomingdale hasn’t flooded since the bad flooding 7ish years ago – the flooding issue has been resolved with the tunnel.

  • This will no doubt spark a bidding war. This side of the street never had flooding problems (the 100 block of T street is what had the problems) and Bloomingdale hasn’t had flooding problems for several years since extensive work was done on the sewers.

    • Water was up over the sidewalk in front of Boundary Stone during a couple of floods which is a half dozen doors down. I don’t recall water ever reaching 2nd street, but a basement level unit would still be a concern. If flooding was still an issue in Bloomingdale. Which it isn’t. Id be more interested in what that $500/month condo fee gets you. That will go a long way towards whether this is a GDON. I suspect it will go over asking anyway.

  • Too low? Are people clamoring live on RI Ave in charmless, soulless spaces that are half underground? No one I know is.

    • seems like a unique older building the apartment has character….if half the space is underground that’s not ideal but RHI area is going become quite nice over the next few years if all the development planned moves forward

    • “I don’t personally know anyone who might want this condo, therefore nobody wants this.”
      .
      Got it.

  • Disagree on the monthly fee being too high. Considering the square footage, the fee is actually low.
