Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 2 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

“Dill of Woodley Park. He has radial hypoplasia so is missing the upper bones on his front legs. He crab walks and likes to lean against the arm of a chair.
He is a love bug.”

“Natasha and Napoleon celebrate Napoleon’s second birthday with a few treats from our local bakery.”

“Jem from Woodley Park. He loves to have his tummy rubbed.”

  • Dill does indeed look like a love bug. Cute!
Napoleon and Natasha are looking a little hesitant, like they’re waiting for a green light to dig in to their special treats. Cute pair!
A gray and white tuxedo! Jem looks he is a big cat with personality, and reminds me of my own Liam.

  • Natalia and Napolean! So cute. (I have a soft spot for frenchies!)

    Dill is a cutie.
    Happy birthday, Napoleon!
I want to rub Jem’s belly.

  • Dill looks nothing like a sour puss. Woodley Park for the win today!

  • Natasha and Napoleon are adorable! One of them looks like he/she has a pretty bad case of glaucoma…very painful for the pup….you may want to get that checked out.

  • That’s what Jem wants you to think. He’s a sly one. He’s probably been letting you rub his tummy for years, to lull you into a false sense of security. But be warned: It’s a trap. It’s always a trap.

  • Thanks to all for the sweet comments about Dill and Jem, two of our five felines. Pix coming eventually of Boo, Scout and Maudie, all named after characters in To Kill a Mockingbird – sadly we lost Atticus 2 years ago.
Jem is the largest and softest kitty but a real scaredy-cat – he is definitely the low kitty on the totem pole. He’s even intimidated by Dill and Maudie, litter mates (she too has radial hypoplasia but only on her front left leg). I love the community of animal lovers – you all make my day.
