all purpose
1250 9th Street, NW

From a press release:

“All-Purpose Pizzeria in Shaw will serve Sunday brunch from 11am until 2:30pm beginning on Sunday, April 9.

Chef Mike Friedman and his team have created a variety of classic brunch dishes with creative Italian American twists. Dishes include The Continental, an assortment of house made salumi, seasonal fruit, cheese, pizza toast, butter & jam; Eggs Fra Diavolo (a twist on eggs in purgatory) with calabrian chiles, soft polenta, feta and basil; Crispy Fried Potatoes with a rich gorgonzola crema; the Tigelle ‘Egg & Cheese’ Sandwich with fried mortadella, egg, provolone and arugula; a Nutella Bomboloni (an Italian-style filled donut) topped with an airy whipped ricotta and sprinkled with powdered sugar.

During brunch, breakfast pizzas will join All-Purpose classics on the menu. The Cipriani has a smooth parmigiano fonduta, crisp bacon, egg, bright and crunchy frisee, and is topped with a tart mustard vinaigrette. The Balthazar (a pizza-style croque madame) has creamy gruyere, mozzarella and bechamel topped with a baked egg, prosciutto crudo and chives. Coffee drinks, speciality brunch cocktails and classic eye-openers will also be on the menu.

Sunday hours will be 11am to 2:30pm for brunch and 5:00pm to 10:00pm for dinner. All-Purpose will now be closed for lunch on Tuesdays.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.
