  • The 3-year-old-and-under-friendly playground across the street is what sells this place.

  • Prospective renters will want to read the reviews on this place and the management company that runs it.

  • “Perfect” may be a bit of an overstatement. I have lived in the building next door for 6 years and have seen them have no heat on a 20-degree night (a local news crew was there to blow the whistle), serious pest issues (mice, mostly) and a host of other issues in individual units. The playground isn’t that big of a deal. Local pre-schools bring kids twice a day. It gets annoying, but not nearly as annoying as the girl who lives in that building and refuses to pick up after her Doberman.

I was gonna say, great deal if you like mice. I briefly hooked up with a young woman who lived in this building a few years back, and the conditions (and management, from what she told me) were sub-optimal.

  • Wexford is a horrible rental and management company. I rented from them and suffered nothing but problems, problems, and more problems. There was a problem with their payment system (for some reason, it could never deduct the correct funds from my acct. They would either deduct double or triple my rent amount). They don’t like to repair their property (I had a leaking ceiling in my basement apartment and they never came out to even look at it. They said they would clean the gutters! Yet, they contacted all the tenants about a huge waterbill). When I moved, they held on to my rental deposit for dear life. Every time I emailed them to return my funds, the people that I contacted suddenly changed jobs. Then when I go to their Staff listing, each person I contacted is still on their website (even to this day). Please stay away from Wexford unless you like run arounds, headaches, and a leaking ceiling.

  • Wexford managed our building, and they were quiet bad; and the people in the office were quite rude and unresponsive to our report of problems. One day we found the (out of town) owner of the building talking to tenants coming out of the building. Apparently, he was having a hard time dealing with them as well. In about 2 to 3 months he changed the management company, and the new company is pretty good.

  • Wexford is THE WORST. I was a tenant and the only time anything would get fixed was when the owner would intervene (I sneakily found her contact info–she was great, but hired a management company so she didnt have to deal with tenants!!). When they refused to refund my security deposit, I drew up tenant court papers, sent them a draft, and they miraculously mailed me my check. Happy to never, ever work with them again now that I bought a place.

  • Back in 2011, I was running a small landscaping business and did a lot of work for this management company, long story short, they did not like to pay the bills, and we had to take legal action. The guy who actually was the “on the ground” property manager gave us the heads up that they (the owners) didn’t plan on paying as they were firing him. Needless to say, we won and the dude that gave us the heads up went on to a better place and gave us a bunch more business. The place was still garbage even after we did a ton of work..
